The Oxford School of Ballet
has been established for over forty years and was originally known as the Ryder-Christian School.
It was taken over in 1978 by Mary Colegrove, and offers tuition in classical ballet to children and adults of all ages. The aim of the school is to combine the enjoyment and beneficial effects of learning to dance with a sound classical training. Many professional dancers and teachers have started their training here, and former pupils are currently attending many of the leading vocational schools.
